Welcome to the Curtis Timber Website

The difference we think you’ll find with Curtis timber windows is that we don’t just install your windows, we make them ourselves as well.

As a third generation family business located in south west London, we have many years of experience of how to provide you with a long lasting product that will blend with, and improve your home. We are able to manufacture & install our own range of handmade, made to measure traditional box sashes, casement windows & French doors. Using only the best materials, we can supply you with energy efficient glazing and draught proofing as standard on all our new products, or as optional extras as a refurbishment to your existing ones.  High quality handles and locks, together with a highly resistant micro porous wood stain finish gives you both satisfaction and confidence in our windows and doors, and are covered by an insurance backed guarantee.

Our commitment to sustainable sources

At Curtis Timber Windows we understand the need for our customers to be informed of the sustainability of the products we use in the manufacturing of our windows and doors. We are all very aware of the over sourcing of the rain forests and the devastation this causes, and to the wider problems that come from this. We would like to inform you of our commitment and recognised responsibility to sustainability.

This goes further than the usual timber verses upvc argument about the pros and cons of felling trees as opposed to mass land fill, it is about the ethos of a business as a whole.

At Curtis timber we only deal with companies who are members of the Timber Trade Federation who state that ‘Where possible, product is sourced from proven, legal and sustainable forests, and committed to supplying certified timber products where chain of custody can be verified’. For more information on this you can access the CPET (Central Point of Expertise for Timber Procurement website)

Further to this we run our own internal recycling scheme, with all the usual items sorted and delivered to the recycling centres. Our timber waste is wherever possible recycled in many ways such as chipped for use for pets or even to people with wood burning stoves. This allows us to have fewer waste products to place in skips that in turn reduces the need for vehicle deliveries. We also make a point of combining as many timber and glazing orders together as we can to minimise the numbers of deliveries needed.

We continually review out practice to develop improved service and sustainability, for example we are now offering emailed estimates.
